Guild or Group Lessons

Techniques Offered:

(1) Paint with fiber collage – Painting and fusing All skill levels; Techniques used: paint on broad cloth or raw canvas, fused applique, hand, or machine quilting; Class project: approx. 16 x 20
(2) Layer and Cut: Piecing and Quilting Intermediate to advanced skill level; Techniques used: Machine piecing, reverse applique, applique, machine quilting; Class project: approx. 18 x 24
Fees for 2026-2027 Booking fee: $200 non-refundable to be paid when contract is signed (full payment due at end of workshop or lecture with booking fee included in total fee) Payments received by check, or cash.

Types of Guild/Group Classes:

One day class: 6hr day (9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm) at $975/day
Two day class: 6hr/day at $1950
Half day class: 3 hours at $490
Lecture and Trunk Show: 25 minute lecture followed by 35 minute trunk show (lectures may not be recorded)

These prices are for groups of up to 15 people. Additional students may be included of up to 22 max with an additional $70/student/day. Out-of-state travel will only be permitted with purchase of one lecture and a two day class.

Set Up Requirements

I do not provide the space or location for the lecture/classes. You must provide adequate space with two tables for display and demonstration. No more than 2 students per 3’x8′ table. Proper lighting and outlets needed.

Travel Info

If you require me to travel to teach, door to door travel expenses are determined by current federal reimbursement rate of $0.72 per mile or round trip air fare, including reimbursement for parking, tolls, airport baggage fees, transportation to and from venue, and lodging.

Cancellations

You may cancel due to insufficient enrollment up to 6 weeks prior to the date of the contract and before the time airline tickets are purchased. Cancellations must be made by phone or in person in addition to a written email or letter confirming the cancellation.

Personalized 4-week Online Art Workshop

Have some fun learning a new skill in fiber art, painting, drawing, or sculpting.

For only $145, I can meet with you for four 30-minute sessions at a convenient time for us both via Zoom or in person, if local, to discuss your work and provide helpful hints during your four-week workshop. There are video courses available for watercolor, drawing, and pastel or my latest in fiber art collage. Contact me with which medium you are interested in to get started!

Paint Your Palette Parties

Want to host a painting party? Paint Along with Debra, as we create a work of art that you can take home after 2 hours of instruction painting along with the class. Your finished piece will be 8 x 10 or other size upon agreement. Patron/Hostess may choose the subject. No experience is needed and all supplies are included.

Fees vary from $35 a person. Use the contact page to book your paint party!

Kids Art Studio Classes

Youth classes (ages 5-17) offer creative learning opportunities for young artists after school, during school breaks, and in Summer. Currently, class sessions are one-hour and weekly and can be taken in-person or virtually and students can meet privately or within a group setting at the Debra Goley Art Studio.

These classes strive to develop and strengthen creative skills, build self-esteem, develop a sense of self-importance and individuality, encourage self-expression, and stimulate imagination in children. During class time, we will touch on all the basic five elements of design focusing on sketching/drawing/painting, and sculpting. Art History is a big part of the lessons as we introduce the masters to gain understanding and appreciation, including science and math as an integral part of the lesson plans.

Class sizes are limited to 6 persons in Debra’s studio setting. Contact Debra for current studio class times and registration!
